Are You Set?
The SET stage provided you the opportunity to engage your target community(ies), identify your strategy, and develop your road map for implementation of your public health initiative. Using the strengths of the coalition you developed, the data you accessed and analyzed, and the common understanding of the role of race and racism in birth outcomes, you took on the following in the SET stage:
- You involved the target community members in all activities—they helped you identify the relevant issues, made decisions with you about ways to address them, and helped evaluate and share the findings with others in the community.
- You developed a strategy based on the perspectives of the community, developed a shared measurement, and assured that your backbone organization(s) was supported.
- You created a detailed plan for your proposed initiative(s), including a logic model, data collection activities, and an evaluation plan.
